The plan is nothing. Planning is everything. Modern society incorporates
lots of dynamics that require constant rethinking and re-planning in order to
sustain the quality of our living environment. A wide range of economic,
cultural, environmental and social aspects needs to be embraced when catering
for the needs of the future.
The 3rd
PLEEC Energy Efficiency Forum
“Planning resilient and livable
regions. Urban-rural interactions”,
seeks ways to apply efficient planning methods and develop models
to deliver a sustainable living environment both in urban and rural regions.
In order to achieve active engagement, three parallel working sessions
will be set up aiming for fruitful discussions while presenting key factors
that ought to be considered when planning for green sustainable regions and
showcasing good examples of holistic cooperation models where smart and
inclusive approaches have delivered good results. Workgroups will focus on
finding solutions for smart governance, resource efficiency and societal
changes in modern living environment.
The event takes place on 24 September
2015 at the Assembly Hall of the Estonian University of Life
Sciences, Kreutzwaldi 1a, Tartu, Estonia. Full programme at: http://rohevik2015.publicon.ee/en/programme/
